Three times over the 15 years Ercüment Kılıç has
been invited to Japan by the Japanese Cultural
organizations and the Cultural Federation. Similar
organizations from other countries in the area such
as Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong have also
coordinated their invitations of Ercüment , and each
one of these trips to Japan has become a tour of the
Far East.
During these trips Ercüment has introduced and
promoted Turkey, the Turkish world and the Turkish
culture to numerous people. During these programs,
besides many seminars, and speeches on Turkey
history, geography and politics, many cultural
programs have been included.
Today, in Japan it is very common to observe the
Japanese international dance association dancers to
be performing many intricate folk dances of various
regions of Turkey, some of which is quite advance in
the level of difficulty.
Turkey and the Turkish culture in Japan over the
last 20 years have become so popular among the
cultural circles in Japan that it is common for many
young Japanese to travel to Turkey every summer to
get married in Turkish villages in Anatolia
