My Dear President Kılıç,
Please accept my congratulations for the best ATAA
convention I have every attended, and I believe I
have been to all of them. Your personal touch and
hands-on approach made the large difference that
brought the success it did.
I hope you have time to enjoy your office, for in my
book, you are doing a super job. I did enjoy the
article in The Turkish World.
Stay Well

Sayın Ercüment Bey,
Los Angeles'te Arkadaşımız Ayşe Gören'in evindeki
toplantıda sizinle tanışmaktan eşim Oscar ve ben
büyük mutluluk duyduk. Bu arada, yapmak
istedikleriniz, idealist düşünceleriniz, eşitlik
ilkeleriniz tamamen gönlümce olan şeyler. Umarım
zorluklarla karşılaşmazsınız, karşılaşsanızda
üstesinden gelebilecek bir yapıya sahipsiniz
sanırım. ATAA is lucky to have a President as
yourself. Please let us know if we can be of any
help to you on the West Coast. Saygılar

Dear Ercüment bey:
First of all, I would like to thank you for
accomplishing what I had always dreamed about: a
successful internship program to promote civic &
political activism among the Turkish-American youth.
As a product of various internships in Congress and
the UN, I know the value of such programs first
hand… I think another important factor that should
be. Once again, congratulations and wish you
continued success. Sincerely,
Mehmet Celebi, ATAA Midwest VP, TACA-Chicago
President
Dear Ercument: Excellent job. We are very proud of
our President..

Dear Ercument,
Thank you very much for your detailed report on the
state of ATAA. I am proud to be a member of an
organization that is being run by dedicated
volunteers. Your program is ambitious and it answers
many of our needs. Strengthening our organization
will help us maintain our visibility (and
viability), which is so important for future
generations of Turkish-Americans.
Orhan Gurbuz, California
Sevgili Ercüment Ağabey,
Congratulations on your recent invitation from the
State Department. I am sure that the trip will be
very beneficial and productive for our Turkish
brothers living in that part of Europe. I am looking
forward to your comments and observations following
your travels.
Yolun açık olsun; güle güle git ve gel.
Sevgiler,

Dear Ercüment Bey;
Thanks for the Annual Report 2004 - well written. I
appreciate the hard work and skillful management
your team has put to this year’s revitalization of
ATAA. I can only imagine the sacrifice you all had
to put in working as volunteers. I would like to let
you know that your efforts are recognized and
appreciated here in California.
Best regards.

Ercument Bey,
There will always be people who will attack the
Turkish-American organizations on this topic. We
cannot win all of these wars. Do we need to waste
our time responding to each and every one of these
hateful comments. We cannot change the way certain
individuals feel about Turks. I also agree that we
should not spend our valuable time on reacting to
these letters. Lets find a way to raise awareness in
a different way and work towards educating the
Americans on this historical event in a more
positive and constructive manner.
I am looking forward to going on the Delegation Trip
to Turkey with your group.
Selamlar,
Sevda Aleckson

Greetings Ercument,
I hope you remember me. We spoke ( along with my
husband, George) at Serdar Bulun's home just before
you started your ATAA presidency. Congrats on the
success of the internship program...I never say I
told you so but I am saying it now with great
pleasure. I only wish that the ATAA powers that be
when I was growing up had started this earlier. But
perhaps this will be continued so that some day my
daughter, Aysu, will be able to participate should
she choose to do so... I am also pleased with the
changes at ATAA...so much so that I will be renewing
my membership this year. Regards,
Elif Oker
